Internal Communications Specialist

As our internal communications specialist you will contribute to the success of the organisation by taking complex strategic initiatives and simplifying the communication/rollout such that it is understandable, engaging, and relatable to all colleagues.
Eurail and Interrail Passes, available to non-European and European residents respectively, are synonymous with flexible rail travel throughout Europe, connecting both countries and passengers alike. Over half a million people of all ages use Eurail and Interrail Passes each year to experience the freedom of borderless travel and discover Europe via more than 250,000 km of interconnected railways.
While Interrail was established in 1972 for European residents, and Eurail in 1959 for non-European residents, it was more recently in 2001 that the Eurail.com sales channel was developed. With a HQ based in Utrecht, the Netherlands, a dedicated team at Eurail continuously works to improve pass products and offers a truly life-changing journey throughout Europe.
Job description and Role
In this role, you will lead be the lead (PO) for the internal comms and shareholder updates as part of a CFT with HR, Strategy and PR. You will help us achieve our company purpose, by supporting the leadership team, and offering a memorable experience to employees, through up to date and motiving communication, which fits with our culture and ways of working.
You will achieve these goals through the following activities:
Develop and implement calendar for internal comms activities to support employee engagement and satisfaction, as well as developing dashboard to monitor results
Support shareholder updates through initiatives like quarterly light newsletter to carriers
Help lead the CSR strategy approach and implementation as part of a wider cross functional team
Work with the Strategy and HR team to identify when internal workshops are required, in order to educate employees on strategic topics
Support internal comms for future developments on the way of working,
Support the leadership team with business updates.
Support employer branding activities with the recruitment specialist, such as Glassdoor, university trade fairs for interns.

You are the Internal Communications Specialist we are looking for if you have the following characteristics
A relevant Bachelor degree.
Minimum of 4 years’ experience- both strategic and operational.
Effective communicator – a good internal comms person needs to be able to discuss and be in tune with all levels of the organisation
Strong English writing skills is a must (native preferable)
Experience working in more complex stakeholder environments
Proactive and creative- You need to be both a thinker and a do-er.
With your positive energy, ideas and output, you know how to engage employees and achieve results;
You feel at home in an online environment, working in a multi-cultural environment
You are passionate about travel.
