Customer Service Intern

Job description and role

In this role, you will help customers planning their perfect Europe trip by train. Travel advice and sales is as much part of the job as booking and/or monitoring train seat reservations in different systems. We help our customers 24/7, every step of the way and make sure everything goes smoothly for them.

You will achieve these goals through the following activities:

  • Answer customers’ questions, through email, Facebook Messenger and Twitter;

  • Processing train seat reservations in different systems

  • Monitoring payments and order flows;

  • Processing refunds

  • Offering suitable solutions for complex customer cases

  • Maintaining contact with other departments in the interest of the customer

  • Providing help and advice to team members

  • Handling incoming and outgoing postal mail

  • Administrative tasks

You are the customer service intern we are looking for if you have the following characteristics

  • You are currently studying for a MBO in tourism, leisure or hospitality; and/or are eligible for an internship;

  • You are available for a minimum of four months;

  • You are enthusiastic and have a proactive way of working;

  • You are interested in e-commerce and the travel industry;

  • You can work independently but are also a team player;

  • You speak and write English fluently;

  • You are accurate, structured and know how to work with Excel and Powerpoint;

  • You look forward to be part of a young team (with a few young-ish, middle aged people!);

  • You are creative and like to think in solutions;

  • And you are proactive, motivated and a sense of humour.
