For IT role: We are an e-commerce company with the freedom of a start-up and incorporating agile ways of doing. Your main playground will consist of an AWS environment (elastic compute cloud and lambda’s) with Adobe Experience Manager as the CMS and Commercetools as the e-commerce engine. Our IT landscape is comprised of payment, paper and ePass fulfilment, translation engines, DWH and BI tooling, marketing automation tooling, seat reservations middleware, authentication and marketing tooling. We also offer a travel app that our customer uses during their Interrail or Eurail journey. Our objective is to have a fully micro-service based infrastructure.
Job description and Role
Your responsibilities will include:
Develop new features for the Eurail Rail Planner Android app
Work across disciplines with designers, content creators, product owner and test engineers.
Active participation in planning and design decisions

You are the Android developer we are looking for if you have the following attributes:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
2-5 years of experience with native Android development in Java
Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, data structures, algorithms and mobile design principles
Up-to-date with the latest technologies related to Android development and features
Experience with GIT (version control, github/gitlab/bitbucket/etc.)
- Experience with the Scrum Agile way of working
- Able to work in a cross functional team
- Have strong communication skills
- Understand user feedback
- Able to interpret user requirements
- Able to communicate across teams and roles
- Eagerness to embrace and embody our values: forward-thinking, results-driven, caring and diversity
- Nice to have (but not required at all)
- Experience or interest in Kotlin, Flutter and react native
- Experience with location-sensitive apps
