Online Content Intern

We’re addicted to travelling, adventure and e-commerce. is an international online travel company that has been selling European rail passes since 2006. Our passes enable customers to travel through Europe by train for days, weeks, or even months. Our products include Interrail Passes for European residents and Eurail Passes for non-European residents.

If you start working with us,  you’ll get 90 new colleagues from 20 different countries worldwide. We work in the centre of Utrecht, overlooking the central train station (what else?). The average age of our employees is 30 years.

Job description

As an Online Content intern, you’ll join the eCommerce team. This team consists of the Head of eCommerce, 2 Web Shop Managers, 3 Content Managers and 1 Web Analyst. As our company develops, your job will be to help us with our content and content strategy.

You’ll make it possible for our customers to experience real adventures, travel by train through Europe and meet inspiring people.  In other words, you’ll contribute to an unforgettable trip, through the power of strong and engaging content.

Our goal is to give as many people as possible the chance to experience travelling in Europe by train. Our target audience is made up of people of all ages and backgrounds. We need you to help us attract and engage with these audiences by creating and optimising content on our websites.


  • Write new and inspiring travel content for our websites and

  • Create layouts for new webpages.

  • Find and optimise images for the blog and websites.

  • Review and rewrite current content.

  • Identify keywords and improve SEO.

  • Research travel destinations.

  • Contribute to content ideas.

  • Use analytical tools to suggest and make improvements.


  • You’re a Bachelor or Master student communication/marketing/journalism/international studies, available for an internship of at least 6 months, for 40 hours a week.

  • You have excellent English written and verbal communication skills.

  • You’re eager to learn about content optimisation.

  • You’re active in social media and writing and might have your own blog.

  • You have a great eye for visuals.

  • You’re Internet-savvy.

  • You love travelling.

  • You’re proactive, full of new ideas and able to share and discuss them with your colleagues.
