Job description and Role

As our Finance Assistant, you will support the daily administrative processes of Eurail.

 

You will achieve these goals through the following activities:

  • Executing various bookkeeping activities, including control and input of purchase invoices and expense reports, booking of bank statements;

  • Monitoring the workflow for approving invoices;

  • Preparing payments;

  • Assist in producing invoices for members, distributors and other parties and with importing and maintaining accurate and up-to-date administration of incoming and outgoing sales proceeds;

  • Processing of bank and credit card transactions;

  • Helping with the monthly close with a complete and up to date general ledger;

  • Making an active contribution to improving the administrative organization.

You are the finance assistant we are looking for if you have the following characteristics and experience:

  • Degree in Accounting or equivalent;

  • At least 4 years of relevant work experience;

  • Experience with Dutch VAT ruling is a must; 

  • Knowledge of MS Office, especially MS Excel;

  • Experience with Exact Globe accounting software is an important plus;

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and prioritise;

  • Excellent command of Dutch and English, spoken and written;

  • Competencies: accurate, reliable, result-oriented;

  • Previous experience of working in an international environment is preferred;

  • You feel at home in an online environment, working with colleagues at both a professional and an informal level;

  • You love travelling.
