Job description and Role

As our AEM Developer, you will ensure the readiness of development projects and initiatives while working with business owners and technology partners to implement business objectives and usability requirements.

This is a hands-on role that will take our digital experiences to a new level of excellence. In this position you may participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle which includes estimating, solution design, hands-on coding, platform installation and configuration, component deployment, testing, and/or documentation activities according to the needs of the project. As a member of the development team you will work with solution architect and developers on interpretation/translation of wireframes and creative designs into functional requirements, and subsequently into technical design.

You will achieve these goals through the following activities:

  • Translate marketing and web site needs into AEM specific recommendations and solutions;

  • Design and improve internal development methodologies around AEM solution;

  • Create and integrate content-driven applications on top of AEMs core platform and integrate with E-commerce solutions;

  • Design and code from specifications, analyzes, evaluates, tests, debugs, documents, and implements complex software apps

You are the Adobe AEM Developer we are looking for if you have the following characteristics:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field;

  • Experience implementing AEM (AEM 6.0 and later required);

  • Experience with Java, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Maven, HTL, Touch UI, OSGi, CRX, Sling, JCR, Dispatcher;

  • Experience working with technology teams to build and maintain web applications using Adobe's Experience Manager CMS to include site architecture, custom components, workflow development, Digital Asset Management (DAM);

  • Knowledge of RESTful and SOAP-based web services;

  • Experience with secure coding practices;

  • Ability to fine-tune AEM application for optimal performance, including configuring Threads, Heap, GC Policy;

  • Experience with object-oriented design and design patterns;

  • Experience with web and application servers, such as Apache;

  • Superior problem solving, organizational, decision-making, written, oral and interpersonal skills;

  • You have an EU passport or a permit to work in the Netherlands.
